JIM BARFIELD | Founder & Director

Jim Barfield is the Director of the Copper Scroll Project. His personal interest in Bible study led him to the Dead Sea Scrolls where he came across the least understandable scroll of all…the Copper Scroll. It describes gold, silver, gems and temple artifacts which upon discovery will signal the coming of end times. Jim is a retired criminal investigator with multiple career positions leading up to his retirement from the Lawton, Oklahoma Fire Department in August of 2005.

CHRIS KNIGHT | Assistant Director

Chris is from Dallas, Texas and has been a part of the Copper Scroll Project since its conception. Jim and Chris were friends before Jim made his discovery and in January of 2007, just a month later, Jim called Chris to be his right hand man. Besides Jim’s wife, Laurie, Chris has worked the closest with Jim in supporting him in his discovery and has intimate knowledge of the research. Chris helps in every facet of the project and has been to Israel numerous times traveling with Jim. Chris is committed to the Copper Scroll Project and its goal to see what treasures may be at Qumran and restore them to Israel and her people.

MACK KIZER | Senior Advisor

Mack Kizer, is a successful rancher from New Mexico and is passionate about Israel and the rebuilding of the Temple joining the Copper Scroll Project team in 2009. Mack’s role supporting Jim Barfield’s discovery and research is extremely important to the entire team. He has been to Israel numerous times and his love for Israel and it’s kind people continues to grow. Mack’s heart and vision to restore the Copper Scroll Treasures to Israel meshes perfectly with those of Jim and Chris Knight as he works closely with them every step of the way.

KEN FABBRI | Team Liaison

Ken Fabbri is a businessman with 27 years of experience in real estate negotiations and development and is an Associate Pastor at The Vineyard Fellowship in East Tennessee. For many years Ken and his wife Sharon have travelled to Israel and Biblical sites in surrounding countries. He was first introduced to Mr. Jim Barfield and The Copper Scroll Project in 2018 at a Temple Conference in Jerusalem. Since that introduction his passion and commitment to promote the progress of the Copper Scroll Project has only grown. In 2023 Ken joined the team and is honored to serve on this amazing team of friends and family called The Copper Scroll Project.

JEFFREY COHEN | Jewish Liaison

Jeffrey Cohen is a software developer from New Jersey. He is an outspoken supporter of Israel and has been part of the Jewish leadership movement led by Moshe Feiglin. First as part of Manhigut Yehudit (Jewish Leadership) and then as the International Director of Zehut International. Jeff was introduced to Copper Scroll Project through his work with Moshe Feiglin and has devoted himself to the project ever since. Jeff and his family travel to Israel as often as they can and look forward to restoring the treasures of the Copper Scroll to the people of Israel.

SCOTT HILLMAN | Operations Director

Scott Hillman is the President of the A.C.T.S. Biblical Training Center located in Tennessee and a Bible teacher for 20 years holding degrees in both Biblical Theology and Health and Fitness. He and his wife Jennifer bring students to the land of Israel each year to further their Biblical Education and connect them with the beauty of the land and the people of Israel. Scott joined the Copper Scroll Project Team in October 2022. The name of Scott’s Bible Training Center says a lot about his vision and heart’s desire, the “Appalachian Center for Torah Studies.”
